Capability that stays in the building
The senior reading happens on the file. The record of how it was worked stays with you.
LitFin reads a lender's credit files, appraises them, and leaves a record of how the judgement was formed. This page is about the third of those three.
An officer opens a real application and works it with Mwikila, the AI Senior Banking & Finance Manager, beside them. Where the application was forwarded from your own origination path, the record of how it was prepared arrives with it, so the reading does not have to be rebuilt from a folder of finished documents.
What leaves is the reading, and a course does not bring it back.
When an institution loses a senior credit person, what goes is not a policy or a template. Those are written down. What goes is the reading: knowing which question this file raises, which figure to distrust, which silence matters, and when an application that looks clean is clean.
The usual answer is bought in and kept apart from the work: a cohort, a curriculum, a certificate, and officers taken away from their work for a week. That teaches the frame, and the frame is worth teaching. It does not teach the reading, because the reading only happens in front of a real file with something at stake. LitFin does not ask for the week. It puts the standard it was tailored on inside the file the officer already has open, and leaves the evidence of it behind.
What arrives with a forwarded application.
The preparation record arrives where the application was forwarded from your own origination path. It is the history of how the folder came to be, which a folder of finished documents cannot tell you.
What the preparation record contains, and every line of it is about the application
Engagement
Turns taken, gaps raised, closed and reopened, figures revised, and evidence produced when a claim was challenged.
Gaps, and how each one closed
Every gap in the order it was worked, when it was raised, whether it is open, closed or superseded, how it was closed in the applicant's own words, how many times it came back, and the evidence attached to it.
What changed, and whether a reason was given
Each revised figure with its old value, its new value, and the reason the applicant stated. A change with no stated reason is written down as exactly that, rather than smoothed over.
The turns that mattered, verbatim
The turns the preparation treated as material, in the order they happened, quoted word for word in the language they were written in and never translated, each with a note on why it was treated as material. A paraphrase is not evidence.
Photographs, video and audio
What was observed in the media the applicant chose to attach, what it supports, and where it does not agree with the rest of the file.
The documents it turns on
Every document, extraction and media item the record cites, named so the officer can ask the session about one of them specifically.
Its own limits, stated
Where the sending institution bounded the record, the officer is told it is a summary rather than the whole history. A shortened record never presents itself as a complete one.
What the read says, and the three things it will not do.
Over that record, LitFin makes a short set of observations about the application. Produced evidence when challenged. Closed gaps and stated how. Changed a figure without giving a reason. These photographs do not agree with the rest of the file. Each one is a sentence the officer can check in a click.
It is built on three refusals, and they are what make it worth reading.
Every observation is derived from the record.
No adjective reaches the page that the record itself did not produce. Evasive, credible, cooperative: those are the words this part of the product exists to keep out. They read as findings and are actually the reader's own impression handed back with a system's authority.
Every observation carries its source, or it is not shown.
A rule that counts something but cannot point at the turn, the document or the record entry it came from produces nothing at all. An observation the officer cannot check is indistinguishable from one that was invented, so it is dropped before it is ever shown.
When nothing fires, it says so.
If the record does not carry enough to support an observation, the section is empty and tells the officer so in words, then sends them to the turns and the documents to form their own read in the interview. A section that invents something to avoid looking empty is worse than an empty one, because the officer cannot tell the two apart.
And it never becomes a figure
The observations are listed, never combined. The record counts what happened, because a count is a fact about a file, but nothing about a person is rolled up into a figure. They come out in a fixed order that mirrors the page, so the order ranks nothing. What LitFin will never return about a borrower is set out in one place.
It is a record of the application, not of your officer.
This is the distinction the whole page turns on, and it is structural rather than a promise. The record counts the application's turns, the application's revisions, the evidence produced against it. There is no officer figure in it, because there is nothing in it about the officer at all. It carries no index, no overall figure about a person, no rating and no ranking of anybody, and none of those is calculated anywhere.
So what the institution gains is not a view of its people. It is a file whose reasoning can be inspected. A second reader, a head of credit, a credit committee, an internal auditor or a supervisor can see what a judgement rested on rather than only what it concluded, and reach the underlying turn or document in one click, months later, without the officer who worked it being in the room.
That is supervision support, and it is the opposite of watching a person. A junior officer can work a file that already has the senior reading in it. A head of credit can open any file in the queue and see the same thing. And the institution keeps the reasoning when someone leaves, which is the one thing it has never been able to keep.
What this record is not
It is preparation evidence, not a verdict. Nothing in it verifies the applicant and nothing in it decides the loan. The appraisal judgement, the interview, the site visit, and the identity and anti money laundering decisions remain the officer's, and your institution owns the outcome.
